Happy International Yarn Bombing Day!

Yarn bombingyarnbombingyarn stormingguerrilla knittingkniffitiurban knitting or graffiti knitting is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colourful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk.

I think many crocheters and knitters are familiar with Yarn Bombing, but did you know there is an International Yarn Bombing Day?!

International Yarn Bombing Day has been held for several years now, and this year it falls on 11th June – today! In celebration of this colourful and happy day I searched the internet for some of my favourite samples of past Yarn Bombing, and thought I’d share with you all here <3

So, will you be Yarn Bombing on 11th June?! I myself would love to give it a try! Even if it’s something small, like making appliqué hearts to hang up in random places in town.

So Happy Yarn Bombing Day, everyone!
