Last Saturday I was lucky enough to be vending at this years Blythecon UK, which was held in London. It’s the 3rd year I’ve vended at the convention (other years seeing me visit Glasgow and Brighton), and it was so much fun!
I was fortunate enough to have been given a full table to vend at, so I used half for my Blythe hats and jumpers and the other half for amigurumi…
I’m happy (and a little sad!) to say Moose Man Milo found a new Mum! I will miss him!! Plus all the octopi found new homes, which was great!
I was also really happy one of my custom Blythe girls found a lovely new Mum – this is Sparks!
Sparks is a Bling Bling Party Fur with a TBL rainbow scalp – she is my first ‘proper’ Blythe custom and I’m so happy with the way she turned out – though I still feel I need to work on my face ups – especially the painting of lips.
Another girl I had for sale on the day – a Jecci Five called Lola, didn’t sell but I was kind of glad as I fell in love with her myself! She now lives with me, and will be getting a hair cut soon as I can’t handle the extra long hair lol
She is my first attempt at teeth!
So that was BCUK 2015 – I don’t know where it will be held next year, but I’m actually thinking of having a break from vending for a year so I can concentrate on my Etsy shops. I really need to up my game with regards to my pattern writing, and sometimes doing these conventions takes my concentration away from that.
But needless to say I had a great time in London – it was really nice to see old (and new!) dolly friends 🙂
Hope everyone is having a nice week!
