On Holiday, But Still Crocheting!

This week I’m away with my family in Latchi, Cyprus, on our summer holiday. We’ve been there many times, and it’s so peaceful and quiet…

Gandalf enjoying the morning sun!

But we won’t be alone! Pouty Larry has managed to convince me he should come along. So look out for lots of pictures and tales of him discovering Cyprus in the near future!

I’m also going to be taking some crochet away with me, as I can’t seem to just sit there and relax, even on holiday! I’ve been working on the Attic24 Cosy Stripe Blanket for a little while now, and hope to get lots of it done in Cyprus. I know, crocheting a blanket in 35 degree heat – I’m mad hehe! I’m using DK cotton yarn and a 4.5mm hook, so hopefully the yarn won’t stick to my hands as much as acrylic would 🙂

Here’s a picture of the progress I had made before going away, I hope to have added a lot more by the time I arrive back in England…

I’m also taking away another Attic24 pattern – the Blooming Flower cushion. I’ve made 2 of these already, and really enjoy the pattern! It’s super simple but very effective, just like the Cosy Stripe Blanket pattern. One of those patterns you can just crochet and let your mind wander, you know? I’m using acrylic DK yarn for these cushions, and a 4mm hook.

Here’s a W.I.P of one I’m making at the moment for a family member…

So that’s what I’m up to this week! I’m even going to try and track down a yarn shop in Paphos – there must be somewhere for the locals to buy their yarn! I’ll probably drive my parents mad trying to find it hehe! 😛

Hope you’re having a nice week! See you soon!
